I kissed a girl....

.......And I liked it. I hope my boyfriend don't mind it.

Or so the song goes.

However, when discussing this song with a couple of male friends of mine, I learned that while there may be this prevailing notion that most guys wouldn't mind, there is a limit to it.

For instance, one male friend of mine said that he's all for girls kissing other girls- as long as all the girls are single. To him, a girl should not be locking lips with anyone else if they are in a relationship.

Another male friend offered up an interesting take. He wouldn't mind if his girlfriend did it or even if he saw it. He said he would have a problem if his girlfriend kept harping on it like it was the best thing in the world. To him, that almost measured up to her talking about a guy. The only difference between the two, he said, is at least with the woman he would find it intriguing in the beginning.

So what do guys out there think of their girl kissing another girl? Does it turn you on? Does it freak you out? Would you care?

Funny you write about this now. over the weekend, this topic (and song...) came up in mixed company. The guys were THRILLED by the idea of it. Almost to an awkward extent, when they began offering movie tickets/food for it!

Been there, done that, definitely makes guys pay attention... Whatever.

I agree with Anonymous!!! Don't you girls have a boss that you run these topics by first for approval?????????? If not you shouldn't be posting on this blog website!!

I think this topic is pretty relevant. The song is part of popular culture, and girls kissing girls (for fun) is becoming less taboo.

Obviously, you two anonymous posters have strong feelings about it. So does that mean you would never date a girl who has kissed one of her girlfriends? Why not? And by the way, what are you defining as kisses? On the cheek is a much different story than on the lips, and to go even further on the lips is a much different story than open mouthed. Why don't we have a discussion rather than criticize Raven?

By the way, I have kissed my girlfriends on the cheek (but not on lips), and some of my (very straight) girlfriends have kissed each other. Times are changing, and if you're single, you may encounter this when you're dating.

Perverted and apauling...why do you think that God made man and woman...bisexualism is the work of the devil!!! Get a life!

Considering how many guys I know who think this concept is absolutely THRILLING, this post is proving that your readers are not very diverse.

This topic is far from disgusting, appauling, and sick. In fact I think its very relevant and I'm shocked it hasn't been discussed previously.

I think that the media & entertainment industry (although I'm not blaming them) is making it seem ok for teens & young adults to experiment with same sex encounters. Although, I do not believe that it is ok to just kiss (or sleep with them for that matter) someone of the same sex I'm not necessarily going to condemn that person to hell for it. If you watch shows like Real World on MTV or any spring break special you see things like triple kisses and girls groping girls. It's just what "in" right now for young America.

So don't get mad at Raven for discussing whats going on out in the world. And the fact that so many people are reacting this way is grounds for further discussion of this topic.

For the afore mentioned posts..I am more than fully aware of the idea of girls kissing girls...it all started with Britney and Madonna. Duh!!!! Just because they did it, now the younger generations that witnessed this type of public display thinks it's great. Well, guess what, it's still a digusting display of affection!!!! Nuff said!!

For all you people that said that this is a sick topic, where do you live?? I am a successful black woman who is engaged to a man and I don't kiss woman however, that song is amazing and girls have been kissing girls way before Britney and Maddona. You may not like it and I don't do it... but it happens and will continue to happen. If you don't like the topics, don't read them!!

To "successful black woman"...I suggest you use "spell check" before publishing your comment.
